    Time Computation Error

im trying to subtract Time IN (column C) and Time OUT (column F) but i failed as seen on thie screenshot below, this time data's are exported from our companies program system and its in csv filetype so at first i thought i could just save it as .xls but that did not help either, i also tried changing the formats of the columns by right clicking and going to format cells > number > custom > hh:mm:ss AM/PM but no luck still, i uploaded the entire csv file under Attachments too

any help about this is greatly appreciated

Please post a sample workbook. A picture of a workbook isn't much use to anyone.

    Re: Time Computation Error

Looks like you have additional spaces in the cells with times try using TRIM function, e.g.

    =TRIM(F1)-TRIM(c1)

    format result cell as h:mm

    Re: Time Computation Error

@j0x: no, the zip file has a .csv file in it. .csv files don't have formulae and they don't necessarily match what you'd get in the Excel file.

Nevertheless, DDL has solved the problem so no worries.
