    Subtotals in Pivot Tables

    Hi,

I have a pivot table with two sets of data. One is a row of regions and the other is a row of sales for different events in that region (dont care what the events are). For the life of me I cannot figure out how to get the total of sales for each region with the pivot table on.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Ryan

You looked at the Layout section options in the Design Tab of the Pivot Table menu (assuming Excel 2007)?

ya I have it on and the section for totals for each region is there, but nothing is populating for the totals. Am I missing a calculation step in the pivot table?

Hard to visualize what you want without a sample showing what you have and what you expect.... can you attach a "dummy" version?

I was unable to duplicate the issue I was having. When I copied and pasted my worksheet over to create a dummy it worked for me....

Not sure what the new issue I have, but I'm assuming its some type of formatting problem with the worksheets im sent.

Thanks for the help, I got what I needed.
