Excel 2007 : Total Matching Names on Two Different Pages

How can I match a name from sheet “A” to the names on sheet “B” and total how many times the name appears on sheet B? In addition, how can I make this work automatically for a list of names on sheet "A"?

Let's say the names you want to total are on sheet 2 column A, and the list you want to put the results in are on sheet 1 column A:

Change $A$2:$A$6 to match the size of your range and change A2 to match the first cell in the top of your list, then autofill down.
