    Multiple lookup / match problem

Hi all, I have atatched my spreadsheet for reference purposes.

In column A i have a list of item numbers.

What i need in column B are the relevant "master" numbers as determined by the data in coulmns D:J.

So for example, item 6490156001 (found in A22) appears in cells F2 and F6, so I would want it to reference D2 and D6 as the master and thus add 22087 and 22083 to cell B22.

Please advise how this can be done

    Hi,

When it is possible to re-arrange the columns in a way that the values in column F appear left from those in column D, then you can use the function =ARLOOKUP() that you can find on my site (Excel, Lookup, Lookup several values).

    Success.
    Just keep it simple !

Hi Thanks WinteE it looks good code and site but i just get a value #NAME?

I think it maybe easier to do all this by hand than with a function but thank you for the advice
