    Solve a simple equation using solver

    I need help, I know how to use solver but cannot figure out how to solve a simple equation using solver.

    I HAVE TO USE SOLVER, I cannot use Matlab or anything else!!!!

    Here is equation...

    (the 3right after the first x is superscript like "x cubed" )

    x^3-5x=10


    Any help is so appreciated !!!

    f(x)=x^3-5x
    set up the spreadsheet to calculate f(x) at some "initial guess" for x
    Run solver, telling it to set "f(x)" "equal to a value of 10" by changing "x."
    At this point, I'm assuming you only want the real root(s) and want to ignore any complex roots.

    Yessssss, thank you, it worked great, I don't know why sometimes I just cant figure it out.. I wasn't setting solver to equal 10 for some reason
