I already have certain ID's in a column highlighted on a sheet that I have been working on. I would like to highlight these same ID's throughout multiple sheets in the excel book. I am up for any suggestion if this is possible.

It would perhaps be an idea to post a sample of your data - obviously dummy values that are confidential but ensure that your sample is an accurate reflection of what you're working with.
If you copy the highlighted ID to a new cell, the color formatting will go with it. If you use a formula (e.g. =A3) then it will just give you the value. You can use conditional formatting wherein you can use a column on the original sheet next to your ID list specifically for highlighting. On the other sheets, where you have IDs that may or may not need highlighting, use conditional formatting to look at that column on the first page and if there is a value in the box, highlight the cell holding the ID. If I knew how your workbook was set up, it would be easier to suggest a solution. (i.e. do the highlights change periodically such as you are trying to spot different IDs at different times wherever they show up?)
I made an example file so hopefully that will help. Basically if the row is highlighted in sheet1 i need the same rows highlighted in sheet2.
maybe
why are the cells highligted?![]()
