Lookup Value in Column A and Sum $ in Column B

    Hello,

I am finally posting a question here for I am at my wits end trying to get the right function. I've tried sumif, vlookup (with a sum), etc. Please help

See table below. I want to have functions to lookup value in column A (i.e. Add-On), and then total the $ for Column B and to repeat that process for all groups and all values listed in column A. Obviously if I can get the function right once I can just replicate it to get the rest of my data. The data sets I want to generate include:
    - sum $ for group 1 new
    - sum $ for group 1 add-on
    - sum $ for group 2 new
    - sum $ for group 2 add-on
    - sum $ for group 3 new
    - sum $ for group 4 add-on

    SAMPLE DATA TABLE
Type Group 1 Group 2 Group 3 Total ALL Groups (1-20)
    New $90,200 $6,800 $8,600 $159,860
    New $124,300 $1,200 $79,242 $646,298
    Add-On $12,513 $7,319 $313,100 $631,370
    Add-On $42,310 $150,000 $50,023 $152,490

    Sincerely,

    Hello, Welcome to forum!

Looks like SUMIF with INDEX. Could you please attach a dummy file?
