Smile Simple Formula - Need answer

I know this is a simple formula but I can not work it out.

I am setting up a timesheet and I would like it to give me one answer or another answer is 0.

So if my hours worked are 4.00 but my regular hours are 5.50 the answer is 1.50 - easy

but if my hours worked are 6.50 but my regular hours are 5.50 I want the answer to be 0

so if my hours worked are lower than my regular hours I want the answer but if they are above I want it to be 0

PLEASE HELP.... It is driving me crazy.

    Thank you

    Eltama,

    use MAX formula.
Suppose your regular hours are input in cell A1 and your worked hours are input in cell B1, then in C1 you can calculate the result with the following formula:
    I hope this helps.

    =MAX(A1-B1,0)

    Smile Formula between Sheets

Its me again, I have another question (probably really easy).

    Question 1:

I want to create the week ending date on the sheet tabs can this be done automatically on the sheet tabs?

    Question 2:

I am creating a timesheet file for the whole year and I want a brought forward figure on each sheet to carry it through the year.

Do I create all the sheets first and then do the +sheet to copy it on each sheet or is there an easier way for it to copy the same cell but different sheet names?

e.g. Additional hours to be brought from one "Sheet" to the next sheet.

    Thank you

Re: Simple Formula - Need answer

    Question 1:
probably with a code but I am not sure. Unless you know programming, you would have to do this manually.

    Question 2:
Why do you need to create a different tab for each week? Why not put everything on one tab and then possibly either hide the columns or group them and collapse them. I suppose you want to be able to do some running calculations with only the current week's data visible. But doing it the way you want is tedious and prone to errors. Can you post an example of what you are trying to do?
