Alerts for due dates

Hey guys and gals,

Is there anyway of setting up a macro that's attached to a button that I can push so that I can update my spreadsheet to show any inspection due dates that are overdue and clear the same cells once the completion date has been entered in the field next to it?

Also my boss was wondering if there is any way of importing this data into outlook so that outlook flags anything that's outstanding on any given date??
