Hi,
Select the range you wish to allow the user to access.
Right click, properties, protection, untick "locked"
On the review tab, click protect sheet, and untick "select locked cells", click OK
Rule 1: Never merge cells
Rule 2: See rule 1

hi,
Thanks for your prompt reply.
Actually I want to do the way sample screen shot is attached means the rest of of rows and column are not visible to the user.
Thanks
Ranbir
Select the first empty column, yjen Ctr;+Shift + Right arrow to select all columns to the right. Then Right click on the Column Headers & choose hide.
Repeat this on the rows to hide
Then protect the sheet
Hope that helps.

Thank you sweep and royUK. I was trying to get my cursor to move to the beginning of the next row down from the end of the previous row when I hit Tab (avoid an extra keystroke -- downarrow+home).
Works great!

I'm brand new to the forum.
THANKS!
