    INDEX MATCH MAX with multiple criteria

    OK, I've been tasked to set up a worksheet for a fitness competition. I've got it all figured out, except they want it to display who is leading in each Flight(section). I've attached the worksheet, if you look on the Fitness Data tab you will see columns E, H and K is supposed to display the leader of each category by flight. I need a way to filter by flight. Thanks.

    Try this array formula

    =INDEX(Personnel!$A$1:$A$100,MATCH(1,(Personnel!$B$1:$B$100=$A2)*(Personnel!C$1:C$100=MAX(IF(Personnel!$B$1:$B$100=$A2,Personnel!C$1:C$100))),0))
