    identify cell color

How do I identify the background color of a cell? I want to fill in additional cells adjacent to it in the same row or column with the same color. I realize I can copy-paste or drag the cell, but I would like to be able to select the exact color match from the font section, as that does not mess with other formats like borders

    Re: identify cell color

    Hello,

click the cell, then click the Font color drop-down on the Home ribbon. Select "More colors" and click OK.
Next, select the cells you want to apply that font color to and hit F4. This will only apply the cell font color, not borders or other formats.

    cheers
