    Pivot-Sort by Grand Total column

For a two-column pivot (one Data field, one Row field) I can sort the Grand Total column by highlighting the Row and Data ares and doing a Sort by column B. But how do I sort by the Grand Total column when I have a more complex Pivot Table? For instance, in the attached example, within each Unit I'd like to be able to sort by the number of FTEs in that unit. How would I be able to do that? And how about even more complex pivot tables?

    Your help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    John

Okay, I know this sounds silly but if you:

double click on the PAC field title (gray area), it brings up a box,
    click advanced
Click on Ascending or Descending, the "using box" below is now available
    Pick Sum of FTE

    Hope this helps.

Mandy, that seems too easy to be true. But, if I turn the other columns to Manual sort, and click the closest column to the Grand Totals to Descending or Ascending, it DOES appear to sort correctly, or at least with the data I'm using. I'm going to accept this as a provisional solution while I check that it holds true for different pivot tables. Thanks for pointing me in this direction.
