I have an Excel sheet that I obtained from a 3rd party. I can unlock it, but once I go to another sheet, the sheet I unlocked locks itself again automatically. How do I disable this auto-locking feature of a sheet once I navigate to another sheet?

Hi,
In the absence of the workbook so just a guess, but I suspect that there's a Sheet Deactivate event macro which is re-protecting the sheet. In which case just delete the Sheet.Protect code in the macro.

Activate visual basic (ALT-F11) and check if there's code under "Microsoft Excel Objects" for that worksheet. That's likely the culprit.
... just as Richard said a few seconds before I posted this.
