Folder view out of order

I've noticed a strange behaviour in Excel the last few days. When I go within Excel to open another workbook, as I navigate through my folders and documents they aren't in order anymore (folder used to be on top, documents below, in alphabetical order). I have no idea what caused this change, and even less idea about how to correct it. Does anyone out there have a solution?

I would guess that you inadvertently clicked on "date modified" or some other field, which changes the sort order. Try again, this time clicking on "Name" to get it to sort as you want it to. Then -- unless you change it again -- that should be the new default.
