Less frequent markers

I have to turn some beautiful color scatterplots into black and white ones. This is frustrating.

One place where I'm stuck. I have about 60 data points on each line (about 8 lines) and I do not want a marker for each one. I am using the markers as a way to distinguish between the lines not to identify data points.

Is there a way to have fewer markers?
