Data from cell shown in Footer

I am trying to get the text(Reference data) from one cell in a sheet and view it in the footer.
Is it possible to do this?

You need to use VBa, you can't put a formula in a footer.

Try this in the workbook module
Please Login or Register to view this content.
That should put Todays' Date : Contents of Sheet1 A2 : Page Number in the footer.

    Hope this helps

    Hi Marcol

Thanks for the responce, but I am not familiar with VBA. Am I supposed to paste the code into the PERSONAL.XLSB worksheet file via developer VBA?

    No.

With your workbook open in Excel

1/. Press Alt+f11, this will open the VBa editor.
2/. In the Project Pane, Double Click "This Workbook", this is the Workbook Module.
3/. In the resulting window, paste ALL of the given code.
    4/. Save the workbook.

From there you should be able to alter the code to suit your requirements, i.e. which footers you need to use.

I have tried what you have suggested, but am not doing something right.
I have attached a file where I have added the code as I understand it, but no result.
Could you please have a look and see what I am missing?

    Thanks
