How to use Match and Vlookup

In the attached spreadsheet I'm trying to match city / state combination to county state combination found on 3 separate worksheets. In column G of the custmast worksheet I'd like the corresponding Territory code from the county/state combination from the Territory worksheet. The problem I run into is that there are duplicate counties in different sates. Hope I've explained myself clear enough. Thanks

Marcol, I've tried uploading the 1,968kb zipped file for help but the upload won't complete the process. I'll continue to try.

Delete any sheets not relevant or dependent to your query.
Cut down the data to typical examples, and that should be enough to work with.

I've been doing just that and I'm down to 1,888kb zipped. Think that will work? I still get loading errors

Deleted additional rows from each worksheet and tried uploading again. I get a Database error I you would not mind receiving it via another way I would be glad to send it. I have a gmail account if you are open.

Marcol, I've tried again this morning to upload the file but I still get the database error. I was hoping I could get this done before Monday.

Re: How to use Match and Vlookup

Can't you just make a small sample file with a dozen or so examples to illustrate the problem?

You don't need hundreds or thousands of rows.

It sounds like you're going to need a helper column on your Territory sheet that holds a combined County/State value then do your lookup on that.

Yes, good point. I've been trying that but I don't think the size matters. The upload to the excel help form site has a problem.
