First time writer, long time reader

I have a task at work that I need a bit of help with

I need to create a project planer.
In short I need a sheet where there is multiple rows(tasks), e.g. 50 rows, with the following content in each row:
  • Person responsible
  • date started
  • description
  • sub-tasks (multiple)
  • status on sub-tasks
  • and over all status of projekt

My biggest problem is how I make this, so it gives a simple and fast overview over the different "tasks" with their individual sub-tasks, and how many of the sub-tasks that has been completed. I was thinking that this could be done nicely with some checkbox.

I have already myself created a good "starter". Where I through conditional formating have made it so the rows change color depending on what status the sub tasks have. But I can't figure out how to make it so each tasks have multiple sub-tasks that can be x'ed out in a checkbox, and then when all is checked out as ok, then the whole row is done, e.g. colored green.

Does anyone know a good template or a good idea on how I solve this?
