    Barcode Sanner stocktakes

Hi guys need your help please.......

Every month I get a report in excel with desktop serial numbers to perform a stock take. I usually print it out and tick them off as in stock or not, as easy as it sounds it take me ages as we have hundreds of stock.

I have a barcode scanner that i use to import all new stock, what i would like to do is:
Scan the desktops that are in stock and have it display "yes" for in stock.

So the spreadsheet would be column "A" has the serial numbers and I would like for column "B" to display the result “yes”.

    Is this possible?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi, Welcome to Forum
If your barcode scanner is importing data in excel format (or other excel readable format like .txt / .dbf)
You can use =Vlookup() or =match() function to check barcode, which is available in your report with desktop serial numbers file. Thus you can display "Yes" or "No" in your worksheet
