Hi all,
In range A1:A5 I have these values "alfa", "bravo", "charlie"
Now I'd like cell A6 to show the missing value, if there is one.
If I take for example out the "bravo" from range A1:A5, then it should appear in A6

Hello,
where exactly in the five cells A1:A5 are the values "alfa", "bravo", "charlie"? Which cells?
If a value is missing, what does the cell look like? Is it empty? How can a missing value be shown in a cell?
Can you post a workbook and explain in context what you want to achieve?
Hello Teylyn,
There position within the range changes.
The rest of the cells within the range are empty.
A missing value is also mepty
Please post a workbook. Your question is not clear.
I've a copy attached to this post.
2 missing codes are seperated by a comma.
That's quite a different setup from your initial description
You have a table of values, not just a column. You want to look in a row within the table, not in the column. In range A1:A5 I have these values "alfa", "bravo", "charlie"
These details do matter.
You could try in G3:
copy down.![]()

There may be the odd comma that's not required, but getting rid of that would be a major complication.
Can you live with the formula as it is?
cheers,
