counting data in multiple columns on another worksheet

hey there peeps, I have been struggling with a project and would very much appreciate a voice of sanity to help me out...

I am trying to build a spreadsheet where all data is on one worksheet, and a summary on another, i want to count multiple columns to return results to the summary worksheet, but cannot get my head around the sumproduct formula, and am struggling badly with trying to nest a formula within a countif ...:

    example of data work sheet:

    Comic / Publisher / Condition

    Spidey / Marvel / Good
    Batman / DC / Fair
Spawn / Image / Near Mint
Walking Dead / Image / Very Good
Superman / DC / Very Good

On another worksheet, I want to summarise how many comics in very good condition are published by DC, Image etc

I would be very grateful for any advise or assitance, I have almost no hair left to tear out!

    Something like:

    =Sumproduct(--('Sheet1'!$B$2:$B$100="DC"),--('Sheet1'!$C$2:$C$100="Very Good"))

Assuming your Publisher column is in column B and your Condition column in in column C

Adjust ranges to suit and sheetname....

You can replace the "DC" and "Very Good" in the formula with cell references containing those inputs....

If you want to filter the actual comic, just add another argument like above reference column A.
Where there is a will there are many ways.
