Excel 2007 : Convert exe to xls file

Hi everyone,

Can someone convert this file from .exe to .xls?

I assume that this file is originally form xls file then converted to executable file to restrict viewing of codes. If it is impossible to convert this to .exe, is there any way to view its vba codes?

Personally I'm not inclined to download and/or open some random executable the origin of which I don't know or trust. I would very much doubt it's possible to convert it to an xls file though.

Hello,

this is a rather strange request. You may want to contact the author of the executable and ask them for the original Excel file. If you have legitimate reasons to access the Excel file, I'm sure the file will be presented to you.

I'm deleting the link, because it looks like a typical virus file, with two extensions and all.

Thanks for your reply and I understand why you're in doubt opening .exe file and delete the link.

Actually I don't know who is the author of that spreadsheet and my intention is to check the validity of that spreadsheet for me to use it in my profession. Up to now, I haven't open the vb code of that file. That file can be opened by excel application even if it is an executable file, but it restricts in saving, opening codes and only allows printing.

I have already searched the net and found no solution regarding converting it back to .xls file or simply how to open its vb codes, but I believed that there is a solution that maybe some of our members knows and can share.

If the author wanted to allow access to the file's code then he/shee wouldn't have gone to the trouble pf converting it
