Weird Excel Problem - Lagging During Scroll

Hi dear all,

i m having a problem in my excel sheet.
its slow on scrolling and even in typing in the letter/decimal into the column.

i have test this on 2 unit of pc.
its way damm slow and lagging even the spreadsheet is blank!!
(i deleted all the data inside)

your workbook is ok.
1. maybe you should re-install your Office. or
2. check if there are macros from other files that triggered such event..that may affect the performance of excel.

hi thanks for ur kind reply,

but i have try this on 2 differrent pcs
both pc also have high spec.
weird is, only this excel file is lagging while i m scrolling.(other excel file is ok)
btw, if i edit and save in old XLS format....the size of the file will greatly increase to 43MB!! from 4mb.

I have a utility called PUP 7 from http://spreadsheetpage.com/index.php/pupv7/home that lists all Objects on sheets.

You have 19470 Objects on your Sheet1 that may slow things down. You most likely did a few insert pictures or text or drawings on sheet 1 and then copied them, unknowingly many times.

See the attached with the PUP report.

I believe you can use the Find & Select and then the Go To Special dialog to select all objects on Sheet 1 and delete them all at one time.
