Hi, last time I had an issue I could solve by myself I posted it here and someone was kind enough to solve it in the first try... so I thought I should give it another go.
I have 2 sets of data composed of three columns Company, Contact, and Grade. I want to check which match between the 2 sets of data based solely on Company and Contact. In the file attached I ilustrate the following examples:
DATA SET 1:
Company Contact Grade
COLA COMPANY John Adams 4
Funeral Home Philip Morris 4
Top University Frank Allan 5
Food Inc Not Available 4
Chemical Company Not Available 4
National TV Conglomerate Jules Williams 4
Grocery Stores Group Jack Daniels 5
Food Inc Alison Sallinger 5
DATA SET 2:
Company Contact Grade
National Bank Rene Green 5
Insurance Company Not Available 4
National TV Conglomerate Jules Williams 5
National TV Conglomerate Jack Geller 5
COLA COMPANY John Adams 4
Insurance Company Erick Masterson 4
National Newspaper Ivan Johnson 4
In these you can identify that only 2 have a duplicate:
COLA COMPANY John Adams
National TV Conglomerate Jules Williams
As you can see the grade is of no importance and should not be taken into account, all I care about is that the same guy from a specific company appears in both sets of data. A perfect way for me to ilustrate this would be -as appears in the file- with a boolean flag, a 1 if said registry matches another in the other set and a 0 if it doesn't; that way I can apply conditional formatting on the whole row.
Hope you can help me with this too!
Thanks in advance.![]()
