Highlighting cells when stock is low

Hi there, can anyone help please...I have been making a new spreadsheet to deal with stock keeping, I have 'stock amount' 'target amount' and 'order amount' and I wondered how can I highlight, say in red, when I need to place an order?
Apologies if this is basic, it's just confusing me greatly!
I've attached a single sheet of my stock take if it helps
    Many Thanks

    Hi Becky,
So when your "stock amount is equal to or less than your "target amount", then turn the "order amount" red? You can do this with conditional formatting. You place the conditional formatting in the cells that you would want to change colors based on when the criteria is true. ie. stock amount is equal to or less than target amount

    Hi John,
thanks, that worked fine, I think I understand it now.
A question...rather than putting an amount to highlight when stock goes below in each individual cell, can I put a percentage? and then just copy the cells rule down?
    Thanks

I tried experimenting and it doesn't seem to read it as a percentage.
    Thanks

It looks like you have a formula for 50%, but of what?

I thought that you were having a column to check against

Edit:added example of what I think you want, see D6
