    Circular Reference

I have a workbook that has developed a circular reference that I cannot track down. I keep getting a circular reference window telling me to click on the view, toolbars link. In other workbooks I have closed the popup, clicked on the View, Toolbars link and followed the link to the problem but in this case there is no circular reference display. I have run across this before but have always seen a window that I can use to trace the source. Without a circular reference window to tell me where the problem is I am stuck. Any ideas?

    Re: Circular Reference issue

I guess it didn't just get there on its own ;-) So what have you changed recently? Do you have any earlier version(s) of the workbook? Backups that you can compare the current version with?

If it's not sensitive data, you could upload it for investigation. If it is sensitive, maybe you can anonymise it and then upload it.

It is not sensitive itsjust too large to upload (2.23 MB) and if I try to cut it down I may remove the problem. I dont have zip either.

    Re: Circular Reference

Does the status bar give any indication?

I've just set up a circular reference A1>B1>C1>A1 and the status bar says: Circular: A1

If you wish, you can mail it to my hotmail account. That would be TMShucks at ... .com

    Re: Circular Reference

I downloaded WinZip and with any luck I sent the file. At any rate I sent something and it seems to be the correct size. I tis my first attempt at zipping a file.

    Hi Jogier505,

The circular formula is originating from cell AM3 from the "All Data" tab.

    Trebor76,

Thank you very much. I dont know how I overlooked that, I thought I deleted that.

Any idea why it would not show up in the circular reference window?

Again thanks to all for their time. I'll mark this solved.
