    Equivalent of a multiple VLookup?

Don't know if this is possible but here goes. The scenario is I have various products that are the same product but have different product codes (Due to free codes, special pricing for different customers etc).
They all sit in the same location in the warehouse and I need a total for each product on order for each group of product codes. This total needs to appear on each row of the code so that we can perform a VLOOKUP on any of the codes and get the total sales per product to appear.
To clarify I have attached a workbook with a very simplified start and result sheet.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions or even the phrase "not possible" if that is the case

Not quite (My fault for the way I made up the sample). The description of the product on the proper file varies a bit on the "non std" lines i.e. has Free in front or has the customers name after, BUT I can apply the same principle to column A as they are constant.
I have to try it on the proper file but as far as I can see it is solved and so I will mark it as such.

Many thanks for your help and quick response.

Hi Paul - just to clarify.
Did you want a the total quantity of "product" (col c) by product name, eg apple, pear, grape and you are saying that sometimes in your dataset the values in the product column could appear as Free Apple of Grape Smith?

Re doing a sumif by Location (col a). is it one location one product? what happens if grapes and apples are in A10A?

I'm sure we can get you your desired result if we thrash it out!

Sorry Blake7, you misunderstood my last post The code worked fine it just had to be applied to a different column.
Again thanks for the help. I have added to your rep.
