pivot table effort

I am tracking the following data:
Column A thru F - costs
Column G - date the costs were incurred
Column H - Date the costs were paid

The number of rows will continue to increase as more costs are recorded. I am seeking to create a pivot table that would group/subtotal the rows by the dates in Column G and group/subtotal by the dates in Column H. These would be two seperate "views".

Any suggestions on how to do this? Also, if this is possible, how would I filter the dates that I want to subtotal/group?
