Question How best to distribute, update code to user

    Hi All,

I have put together a small inventory control spreadsheet for a friend. It has five data sheets a pivot sheet and a pivot chart with lots of VBA code and userforms. My user is not what I would call PC capable and I have tried to make this as simple as possible for the user.

My problem is changes and updates to the VBA code are cumbersome at best. is there a good or preferred method that I have missed to distribute just the VBA portion of a sheet?

I am currently creating a new version and then having to copy all of the data sheets with tables and formula from the original and this has caused issues. I am looking for an easier option.

Thanks for listening and all the help this forum has been to me in the past. I can usually find solutions to my problems without the need to post. This is my first post.

For my customers, I provide them a user document/template that is separate from the reference data that they maintain/create. The document/template I give them references their data workbooks and I've shown them how to "select" the data when necessary, but mostly I am able to teach my templates to find the data, usually in the same folder as my template or in a specific known folder.

This method allows you to simply provide them with new "versions" of the template and they just use the most current version. This is the least frustrating for my clients.
