Self extracting ZIP file that auto-opens

I am trying to email a self extracting zipped file (an Excel ".xls" file) that automatically opens an Excel file when opened. I am using WINZIP SELF EXTRACTOR which can perform such a function, but I am getting an error related to the command line "section" (Error 2).

I am open to using any method that achieves the goal (which again, is to send a compressed (zipped) .xls file that self-extracts and opens for the user automatically).

    Thanks,

    D

For those who are also interested, just use WinZip Self Extractor and type the following in the command line:

    C:\Windows\Temp\Yourfilenamewithnospaces.xls

Make sure (1) your Excel file name has the same name as the ZIP file (which should be a given) and (2) you check "UnZip Automatically" when you get to the "Options" section.

    Happy emailing!
