insert row and maintain certain values?

I'm building an excel workout log and I would like to be able to easy insert a new row for a particular exercise. When I insert a new row, I'd like it to maintain certain values in that row instead of going blank.

I tried 'locking' the cells I wanted to copy when inserting, but then it wouldn't let me insert.

    See this image:
    \1
When the 4 slots get filled up, I'd like to be able to click the row and 'Insert', and then it would insert a new row, and maintain the "x" values.

Excel is going to want to give you a blank row, so you'll need to use VBA to copy a "template row" with formuals in cells that you want to retain.

Thanks, could you direct me to somewhere that shows me how to setup a button to copy a template row?
