    Forced input into cells

I am in the process of creating a query log at work.

In several columns there will be data selectable from a list. Is it possible to prevent a user from leaving the cell blank before moving on or saving?
The data is mandatory so I need to prevent people leaving it blank for statistics purposes.

Thanks in advance for any help 

Sounds to me - and I apologise if i'm mistaken, but you might be better off with Access for this one.
