Subtotals - not lining up correctly

Here is my problem.....

Hi all,
I have a spreadsheet that I am trying to subtotal the tasks and also the total contract. The tasks are what make up the contract. There are a total of around 7000 lines. I follow the directions below and everything works out well except halfway through the spreadsheet, the task subtotal is after the contract subtotal. I want the contract subtotal to be after the task subtotal. I have no clue why halfway through it changes what it is doing? The first half of it is correct then all of a sudden it changes. Does anyone have a reason why it does this and how I can fix it? I appreciate the help. Scott

Highlight everything again except the headers.
Go to Data, subtotals, then select Column A, then check each box for the following: LMNOPQUVWXZAA
Once this is done highlight everything again (except for the headers) Go to Data, Subtotals, Then select column C
leave all of the LMNOPQUVWXZAA boxes checked, uncheck the 1st box replace at the bottom of this screen click ok
(The purpose to this step is to give you subtotals for the Task number and a subtotal for each D.O. number)

I attached an example of what I am talking about. If you go down the page to 2291, the CC total comes after the 2291 total. It does this for the rest of the page. Before 2291, everything is fine. How can I make it so the whole document is the same? Thanks
