Can I easily spilit weekly data into monthly amounts

We are currently coming up against an issue in an excel workbook we are using

We have capcaity data split by week covering 52 weeks

We are looking to agregate our data to see avaliable resource by month BUT it has to be split accurately by the days in the month

For Example - looking at the attached sheet

w/c 30/05/2011 has 2 days in May and the remainder fall into June

We need to ensure that in our monthly sum, only the days which fall in May are used to calculate the total, with the remainder being included in Junes total

This would be the case for each month of the year

We have tried a number of formulae (including SUMPRODUCT) but cannot get this to work correctly. We have attached a second workbook (sumproductformulae) with an example of this.

    SumProductFormulae.xls

    Hi,

Did you manage to solve this problem. I have to do the same thing but couldn't find any solution yet.
