Excel Linear Trendline Query

Hi All,

I have the below values on an excel scatter plot graph. I can draw a linear trendline through the values by right clicking on a value, hitting “Add Trendline” and hitting “Linear”. What I would prefer is to have the values of the linear trendline written on my spreadsheet as at the times of each entry. (ie fill in below “Linear Trendline Value” row).

Does anyone know if this can be done? If not, can anyone suggest an alternative method that would give approximately what I am looking for? Does anyone have any alternative suggestions?

All help will be greatly appreciated, no matter how small. Thanks in Advance for all responses.

The formula in C2:D2 is

=LINEST(C5:I5, C4:I4)

It MUST be confirmed with Ctrl+Shift+Enter.

In C6 and copied across,

=$C$2*C4 + $D$2

Thank for that. What exact formula do you have in box D2? Unable to reconcile your figure. Again, thanks in advance.
