    Lock cells??

    Hi,

I have C3 which will only be entered YES/NO.

if C3 is entered NO then my E3, D3, F3 should be locked (data cannot be entered into those cells). However, if C3 is equal to YES then data can be entered into E3, D3, F3.

Could you please advice how to get this done?

    Re: Lock cells??

You can use DATA VALIDATION for this.

    1) Highlight cells D3:F3
    2) Select Data > Validation
    3) Settings are:

    Allow: Custom
    Formula: =$C3="YES"
[ ] Ignore Blank (uncheck this)

Customize the INPUT MESSAGE tab as you see fit.

With those settings, you will only be able to edit D3:F3 when C3 = "yes".
