Prevent pasting over validation

Hi All... I need to prevent users from pasting in columns that have validation (which overrides the validation). I found this link which helps me to protect 1 column, but I have tried everything I can think of to extend this to the 10 or 12 columns I need to protect, with no success. Even if I have two columns as one named range, the message box pops up no matter where I enter data in the sheet. I end up having to force the sheet to close as the box won't go away (like it's stuck in a loop).

Any ideas how I can specify specific columns to protect all validation in them?
