I work for small insurance company. So one thing I've been charged with is to develop an automated analysis of our claims on a weekly basis based on a weekly report that we receive. The report requires some very complex analysis. I started building a report using "Sumifs" and "Countifs" with to aggregate the data. However, before I've even completed the report it is 26MB and when I hit F9 (I had to turn off automatic calculation to speed things up) it take about 15 minutes to calculate the sheet.

Is there a better program than Excel to use? Is there a way to make excel handle more calculations?

Can any provide any recommendations or thoughts?
