Recording Vertical Outcome Data into Horizontal (Different Time Period)

    Hi,

A study was conducted and data was collected on the same measures at different time periods (dates). It is recorded in the vertical column (sample attached). I want to get the data in the row.

What I don't know is, how to convert it in a way that each date takes a different position eg. first date should come under date 1, second under date 2 and so on and all the corresponding data comes against those dates.

Please find attached, sample of data and horizontal row is created to show the format which is required (yellow highlight).

    Thank you for the help.

    Try this macro

Please Login or Register to view this content.
Open up the VBA editor by hitting ALT F11

Insert a new module by hitting Insert - Module

Paste the macro into the empty sheet

Hit ALT F11 to get back to the worksheet.

Run the macro by going to tools-macro in Excel 2003 or the view ribbon in Excel 2007.

Treating empty cells as blanks while creating a line graph in excel

    Hi,

I am trying to create a line graph with trend series (File attached). For some Races (Asian, American Indian, Hispanic) I do not have data for initial years. However when creating trend series, empty cells are not treated as blanks. It is assigning them a value and showing that in graph.

Can you please tell me how can I treat those empty cells in excel as blanks.

    Thank You
