Hi,
Select the range with the offending character and hit Ctrl&H.
Enter the character to find and enter "" to replace then replace all.
You may have to copy the character 1st and paste it with Ctrl & v into the find box.

unfortunately this is updated daily so it appears everytime i click the link
and i dont want to have to do this everyday
if your value of £1.5m is in cell a1 you can enter =code(a1) into a cell. This will give you the char number - you can then enter =SUBSTITUTE(A1,CHAR(Enter char number here),"")
then you can copy and paste special > values.
