    Comparing Multiple sets of Data

I'm looking for a recommendation on how to approach this. I've attached an example. I have three sets of data that I am comparing. I need to call out differences from one to the other.

How would I best do this? I think the first step is to identify instances where the data is the same for all three data sets. But here's the thing - the data won't always reside on the same row.

So from a formula standpoint. Could I do something that would say - for example if you've opened the example attachment - if "ID" exists in C:C, and I:I, and O:O, and if the corresponding information in the next columns, so D:D, J:J, P:P matches - mark it as such. If the information matches in only two of the three (D,J,or P), mark as such.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

I'm not sure this is the final answer but see if it helps. See the attached.

Thanks for doing that. Would you mind explaining it to me? I don't have much experience with using Pivot Tables...

    Thanks!

Re: Comparing Multiple sets of Data

    Hi,

First I had to put all your 3 sets of data into a single table. Note I put Set1, Set2 and Set3 in front of each as a column of data.

It is best to read full web pages on how to do Pivot Tables or look for videos as they will do a better job than my text discriptons.
