    Convert Text to Upper Case?

    Hi Guys,

Having a bit of trouble with Excel at the moment.
I have a field within a worksheet that needs to be Uppercase, as at the moment it is Proper case.

Everywhere I have looked for an answer has said use the =UPPER() command, but thats not what I am after!

I want to be able to select the field I want in uppercase, and apply that to the text.

    Anyone any ideas?

    Cheers,

    Nick

    Hi Nick,

After reading your question 3 times, I'm still confused on what you want. How about a sample worksheet showing it. The problem doesn't sound that hard, if understood. Are you looking for an Indirect command or do you want to append the uppercase text at the end of some other text.
One test is worth a thousand opinions.

    Sorry for the confusion!

I basically have a column of values, in A, as seen here:

    Al-Kober Ltd
    AP Racing Ltd
    ASPA GmbH
    Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd
    Audi AG
    Auto Sport Engineering Ltd
    Autonational Automotive

The list is much larger than this, that is just a sample!

I was wondering if there was a quick way to turn that into UPPER case text?

    So..

    AP RACING LTD
    ASTON MARTIN LAGONDA LTD
    AUTONATIONAL AUTOMOTIVE
    etc

To save typing them out again!

    Cheers

In word, it's Shift+F3. In Excel, you would need a macro. Can write if you want.

Or use Upper() in an adjacent column, copy down, then copy & paste values back on top. (quickest approach for a one-off)

    Ha, done it!
Used =UPPER() in a different column, dragged it down. Copy and paste special, simples!

    Cheers guys!
