Somehow the default paste setting on my excel spreadsheet has changed.
I am copying from another excel spreadsheet from cells that use formulas to determine the cell values. Previously when pasting into the sheet only the values were pasted. (Which is what I want) For some reason when pasting in almost the 1500th row of formatted data. The data is no longer displayed after the paste operation. In order to get it to work I now have to use paste special and change the format. I was able to make a macro to do this for me but if there is an error in the copying procedure there is the opportunity to destroy a significant amount of data, as the macro operation cannot be undone.
Is there a reason for the unexpected change in paste setting? Data volume or something?
(I did some trouble shooting and after closing and opening the sheet the paste error began at the same row in the spreadsheet, Regardless of procedure. The data would paste in correctly on the previous row, then on the row in question the paste operation would empty the contents of the row cells.)
Is there a way to change the Default paste setting without use of a paste special macro and the resulting risk of previous data loss due to errors in copy operation?
