any tips on BUTTONS

I use BUTTONS (Form Control) in xl07 to trigger macros.

It is easy to adjust their size and other properties, but I am
looking for a better way to precisely place them on the sheet
to give an aligned clean look.

Any tips on moving/placing BUTTONS ??

One handy one is this:
When you place the button on your sheet you can 'snap' the corners to grid lines.
Position your button with its top left corner below and to right of intended final location.
Click on top left drag handle of the button and drag it toward top left corner of target cell.
Hit the Alt key and top left corner of button 'snaps' to top left corner of cell.
Release mouse button.
Repeat this with lower right drag handle and lower right corner of target cell.

This will give you a button which is the size of the cell it is over. If you then set the property of the button to "move and size with cell" you can control the size of it by changing the size of the row/column.

Doing this with a series of buttons will have them perfectly aligned and equally sized.


One more thing about moving them: with the button selected you can incrementally move it using the arrow keys. Setting the zoom level to a high number (like 400%) while doing this will allow you to see your alignments better (if you're not using the first tip about snapping to the grid).
If you select more than one button (by holding down shift key while selecting others) you can move them simultaneously with the arrow keys.
