VLOOKUP two criteria to return value

    Hi all,

I've looked at all of the FAQ and Tips and haven't found anyone who has done anything like this.

I'm looking to lookup two different items and find the corresponding match on a different tab and return the value of a number. Attached is my example. This is a much more condensed and simplified version of my problem -- so keep that in mind.

My ultimate goal is to find the match (of two items, Column A and Column D) from the 'Forecast' tab with the corresponding match (of two items, Column A and D of the 'Actuals' tab) and return the value of Column E (the actuals), on the 'Forecast' tab under Column G.

For example: for the first entry, I would like it to see that the customer is, Target, and the Item # is 975 and return the actuals value from the 'Forecast' sheet that has Target and Item # 975. In doing this, I can see a side-by-side comparison of forecast vs. actuals.

This will be done for hundreds of customers with about one thousand item numbers so as I said, this is a simplified version.

    Can anyone help?!

    Thanks ahead of time.
