change whole column from text to number

I know this will be simple but I am very new to Excel. I have a column which has text stored as numbers. I want to remove the comma in the number, such as this 345,500 to 345500. I can do each on individually but I have around 3000 to change.
Can some kind soul help a newbie, please?

Try selecting the column and go to Data|Text to Columns... just Click Finish.

Then while still selected, right-click select Fomat Cells and in the Number tab, select General

Select the column, and format cells, then take out the comma seperator(uncheck the box)

find replace , with blank maybe
