I forgot to save new Excel file. Is it possible to recover?

I created a new Excel file, typed in a few lines of text in a worksheet, and then closed it without saving. I created the new file yesterday, and unintentionally closed it today. It asked me to save, and I clicked on 'No'.

Is it possible to recover it?

    I have Excel 2007.

    Thanks.

If you haven't saved it at all then unfortunately not. You can with Excel 2010 to a limited extent
    Hope that helps.

    Hi,

You can't recover the file as it was at the instant you closed it, however if you have the 'Save AutoRecover information' parameter ticked in the options Save window you should be able to recover the last autosaved version. Hopefully you had a fairly short time set so that it saved every few minutes and you'll only have lost the last few minutes work.
