Adding Advanced Options in Excel 2007 to a Quick Access Toolbar

In Excel 2007, is it possible to add Advanced Options (Office Button/Excel Options/Advanced, Editing options) to a Quick Access Toolbar? I'm particularly interested in "After pressing Enter, move selection..." and "Automatically insert a decimal point".

Hi NeilT and welcome to the forum,

Does http://www.rondebruin.nl/imageqat.htm give you what you need?

    I don't know what command
Advanced Options (Office Button/Excel Options/Advanced, Editing options)
is. Can you be more specific on what you are trying to accomplish.

You can also create User Defined Functions (UDF) and put them on the Quick Access Toolbar (QAT).

Re: Adding Advanced Options in Excel 2007 to a Quick Access Toolbar

Thanks for the links, MarvinP. Here's a better explanation of what I want to do. In Excel 2003, in the main menu bar is the "Tools" button. In the drop-down "Tools" menu is the "Options" button. In Excel 2003, I moved the "Options" button to the main menu bar. Therefore, I had access to all the options with one click. I'm an accountant and I use two of the options quite frequently. The first one is to move the cursor up, down, left, or right (as specified) after hitting the Enter key. The second is to automatically place a decimal point in a number in either the 1, 2, 3, etc. decimal positon (as specified) after hitting the Enter key. In order to access these two options in Excel 2007, I have to click on the "Office Button", in the upper left corner; then on "Excel Options", at the bottom of the menu; and finally on "Advanced", in the menu on the left. I want to move that "Excel Options/Advanced" button to a QAT. I don't think it's possible, but thought I would ask here.

    Hi NeilT,
I think there is a better answer. I just recorded a macro to change the Enter Option to move right and got some Code. I also did it to make Enter go Down. See the code:

With these two macros in your spreadsheet, you can then create Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) icons to set the Enter Direction just by clicking the QAT icon!! Go to QAT and find the "Choose Commands From" dropdown to select Macros instead of Popular Commands.

To change the decimal places code is:

See the attached where I hope the QAT toolbar has changed. I have 5 icons on it which do the above.
