    Copy/paste formula, not contents?

Hi, when I copy and paste a cell it copies the resulting number, not the formula. How do I make my Excel 2007 SP2 copy the formula always and automatically?

When I do a "Paste Special" all I get is the attached screenshot, it says nothing about pasting a formula.

    Thanks.

I can't attach the workbook. How am I suppose to copy the formula? I click the cell and goto edit and copy. Or CTRL-C.

For some reason it is not being copied correctly. That message often occurs when copying & pasting from a web site. Without the workbook I can't see what the problem is, does it only occur with the one workbook?

It constantly happens. All workbooks. I've attached a sample workbook that does it. I right click on cell D4 with the simple formula and paste/paste special but nothing.

Forget about this, I figured it out. I'm an idiot. I have a clipboard text cleaner which strips away the formula when I copy it. I clued in when you said "That message often occurs when copying & pasting from a web site".
